As
the result of a surgical accident several years ago, I lost
my ability to hold down the job I had at the time. In fact,
I lost my ability to do many of the things that I did in the
every-day walk of my life. God blessed me with the ability
and opportunity to build and work with guitars as a means of
occupying myself and battling every day depression. This not
a hobby, neither is it a job. I don't do this as a means of
income, but to do something I love - take wood and build guitars
or repair them, or just to work with wood and my hands. I work
slow, I don't work every day and sometimes maybe just an hour
or so at a time - but I do high quality work. I thank God for
giving me the opportunity to build and work with my hands and
use this as a means of interacting and sharing my testimony
with others who may never have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I build custom guitars, flat tops, arch tops and solid body. The price begins
at $1500 for a basic solid body and moves up depending on body
style, woods, and options you choose.
Cases are extra and begin at $100.
For the most part I only do serious repairs such as neck and fret work or cracked
tops and backs. Contact me by email to describe your problem
and send photos. We'll work together to determine your best
solution and give you a price estimate.
Please remember that an estimate is just that - an estimate - though I try to
work as close to the estimate as I possibly can. I always try
to estimate the worst case scenario so we can avoid nasty surpises
later down the road.
For new customs or repairs: If you're in a hurry, I'm not your guy.
If
you want to work with a very approachable luthier who wants
to hear
what you want and work toward that goal, produce a high
quality result at a reasonable fee, then I look forward to
hearing from you.
I will guarantee my repairs and new guitars against faulty workmanship as long
as I am an active luthier.
